Ah!! A pregnant Beyoncé will be performing at this year’s GRAMMYs
Beyoncé has officially claimed the month of February as her own. Well, not officially officially, but basically officially. We didn’t think we’d be getting even more exciting Beyoncé news after yesterday’s pregnancy announcement, but alas, it’s happening. Beyoncé will perform at the 2017 GRAMMY Awards, reminding us that life is pretty good, after all.
The soon-to-be mama of THREE kids is nominated for nine awards for her album Lemonade. But she won’t just be giving acceptance speeches on the GRAMMY stage (it’s probably safe to assume she will win at least one of the awards), she’ll also be performing.
And her adorable baby bump will be performing with her (because that’s how pregnancy works).
According to Entertainment Tonight, Bey was spotted rehearsing in a top secret location in Los Angeles on Thursday with a full-on glam squad and dancers in tow. Papa Bey, Mathew Knowles, confirmed the news to The Insider after speaking to his daughter on the phone.
“She sounded a little tired ’cause she’s been working on the GRAMMY performance, he told The Insider. “We just had a wonderful daughter-dad conversation.
“It was smart,” he added. “As a business decision, I think it was strategy. I think there’s more to come.”
He brings up a good point — perhaps the baby announcement was simply a warning? Like, “Hey, you’re gonna see a baby bump at the GRAMMYs, but relax, I’m pregnant, so it makes sense.”
Here’s the baby announcement that was made on Thursday:
"We would like to share our love and happiness," Beyoncé wrote. "We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters"
So, yeah. Let the month of Beyoncé commence!
