Here are three possible “Gilmore Girls” release dates, thanks to Lauren Graham’s big clue

Good news and bad news. The bad news is that we still don’t have a true, official release date for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. The good news is that Lauren Graham just dropped a huge clue about its release date, so at least we’ve got something.

Appearing on today’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Graham runs over from the Gilmore Girls set, sans shoes (they both film on the Warner Bros. lot and are basically neighbors). She first revealed the new title of the series, A Year in the Life, and then her and Ellen went on to talk about her upcoming book, Talking as Fast as I Can. Yeah, we’re going to binge read that once it’s out.

As Graham explains to Ellen, the book is a collection of short essays, many about her return to beautiful Lorelai Gilmore. Then, Graham drops the bombshell:

“I have a book of essays that are hopefully humorous, coming out concurrent when the show comes out…”

The definition of concurrent is: existing, happening, or done at the same time. WHICH COULD MEAN, FRIENDS, THAT GILMORE GIRLS AND GRAHAM’S NEW BOOK ARE GOING TO HAPPEN AT THE SAME TIME.

Graham’s book is slated to hit shelves on November 29th. That is a Tuesday. But we all know that Netflix does not release new titles on random Tuesdays in November. This narrows our Gilmore Girls window down a little bit.

Going off of Netflix’s Friday release norm, we could see Gilmore Girls the day after Thanksgiving. We could also see it the week prior, on the 18th. Or, we might even see it the Friday following Graham’s book, on December 2nd.

Keep in mind that Netflix has not released absolutely ANYTHING to suggest that one of these three Fridays is actually the release date. They’re holding on tight to their Gilmore Girls secrets right now. But if there’s anyone who can spill a little bit of inside information, it’s Graham.
