And now, the most popular colleges. . . on Tinder

There’s seemingly a never-ending amount of college lists. You have your best colleges, top party schools, friendliest colleges—and every year, we do them all over again. Now there’s a new list on the block, and I’m not sure if it makes me want to swipe right or left. That’s right, there’s a list of the most popular colleges on Tinder.

So this study, conducted by Tinder itself, takes a look at the statistics of college-aged users all over the country to see if they can discover anything useful. They compiled lists of the top fifty schools based on the “attractiveness” of their students—one for men and one for women. This was determined by “the ratio of right swipes received by students attending each university, ages 18-23 in the spring of 2015.”

The study discovered some pretty interesting facts. For instance, the people who received the most right swipes were those who had filled out their bios. University of Mississippi seems to be the most universally right-swiped school, appearing in the top ten for both genders. But, in general, the top ten for both men and women were widely dispersed across the country. You can take a look at the full list below:

Who knows if this will help students choose which college they want to swipe right on, but it sure does give you an idea of just how online dating interacts with the real world. And if your college hasn’t made the list, you know what they say: be the change you wish to see in the world. Swipe on, my friends.
