These famous pop stars are covering our favorite Disney songs and we can’t wait
If you’re one to belt out your fave Disney songs when you’re driving to work every morning, good news: We’re getting a brand new album chock full of Disney hits. Oh, and they’re being covered by fab artists, like Ariana Grande and Gwen Stefani. YEP.
Thanks to Verve Records, Walt Disney Records, and award-winning producer David Foster, we are getting a new album titled We Love Disney, complete with 15 tracks featuring 12 artists we all know and love. “In choosing the artists to appear on We Love Disney, we tried to cover the whole spectrum,” Foster said in a press release. “I wanted great singers. That’s always been my mandate. We set the bar high and everyone who came in absolutely killed it. The vocals on this album are spectacular.”
Spectacular, indeed. Jessie J will be covering one of our faves, The Little Mermaid‘s “Part Of Your World,” while Jason Derulo will be making our hearts swell with his rendition of Lion King‘s “Can You Feel The Love Tonight.” Gwen Stefani will be rockin’ out The Muppet Movie‘s “The Rainbow Connection.” Fall Out Boy will be covering The Jungle Book‘s “I Wan’na Be Like You” (we can totally picture that). Pretty Little Liar‘s Lucy Hale and Rascal Flatts will be performing Frozen‘s “Let It Go” (because honestly, how could that song NOT be on the album?).
But that’s not all, folks. Prepare yourselves, because in perhaps the best musical decision made in the history of the world, Ariana Grande will be belting out Hercules‘ “Zero to Hero.” YAAAAS. A match made in heaven (get it? Because Hercules is a god. . . OK, sorry).
