Police Escort Movie Theater Patron Outside For Smuggling In Snacks

Things really escalated fast during the first full week of spring. This model got a legit Marge Simpson makeover. These kids shared their potty mouths with Jimmy Kimmel. Beyonce cried. Is spring fever to blame? Maybe.

Heads up: keep an eye out for the pranksters in your life this Tuesday (April Fool’s Day). In the meantime, check out a brand new “The Week In WHAT?!

Lets All Go to the Lobby

A Brooklyn movie theater allegedly had cops escort a man out after he refused to throw away outside food he brought in with him. The patron, who it appears intended to eat a carton of strawberries during the movie, informed a staff member of his type 2 diabetes. The man sent Park Slope resident/current New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio a letter insisting “that more theaters should offer healthy snacks.” One can only hope he also stormed out of the Park Slope Pavilion in a Stephanie Tanner inspired tantrum shouting: “How rude!” (Side note: how was no one around filming it for YouTube?)

Drunk in Love with the Golden Arches?

Ba-da-ba-ba-ba, he’s lovin’ it! If you think you’re the ultimate McDonald’s fan, we hate to break it to you, but you’ve got some competition. A Norwegian teen loves his Mickey D’s so much that he agreed to get a tattoo of one of his many receipts on his arm. Appreciating his dedication to supporting a brand he loves, the tattoo parlor asked the man if they could tattoo the receipt for his fresh ink on the other arm… for free. He agreed to that as well. Doesn’t seem like this guy’s afraid of a long-term commitment! His judgment? That’s another story.

Just a Spoonful of Sugar

Panda bears — they’re just like us! Although giant pandas are often observed enjoying a tasty bamboo treat, it turns out they’ve got quite the sweet tooth. A new study reveals that when presented with options of sugar-infused water versus plain water, pandas preferred the sweetened varieties. On the other hand, when the water included any form of artificial sweetener, they opted for the “au natural” version. So much for panda diet sodas!

Money (That’s What They Want)

Amazon isn’t the only one making it rain in customers’ accounts! One Georgia teenager got the surprise of his young life when he checked his bank account to discover he was magically $31000 richer. Shortly after, he withdrew most of the money and went on a shopping spree. It turns out a teller accidentally deposited another customer’s check into his account because they shared the same name. It’s essentially the real life version of drawing the “bank error in your favor” card after landing on Chance in Monopoly. Unfortunately for the teen, that game doesn’t take into account local laws, which require him to return the cash.

And there you have this week in “WHAT?!” Can’t wait to see what’s in store for humanity next!
