‘PLL’ creator I. Marlene King promises to finally stop lying to fans on Twitter

In two weeks, we’ll come face-to-face with Big A. Probably. Maybe. See, here’s the thing: Pretty Little Liars has been known to lie viewers, and they have done so (roughly) a million and a half times during its six-season run. Lie is a pretty harsh word, I know, but that’s the truth. The PLL saga is full of twists and turns, and sometimes we are purposely thrown off the scent of Big A. This has often been fueled by PLL‘s creator and showrunner, I. Marlene King. She has, from time to time, lied to fans on Twitter. Lie is still a harsh word. But what else do you call it when one second King says that Mona’s dead, and then the next she isn’t??

But now, as we draw to a close of PLL Season 6A — there’s are only two episodes left! — King is ready to put all the pretty little lies behind her. She took to Twitter to let her followers know that she is done with lies. No more.

On one hand, this is awesome! And on the other hand, can we trust this? After six years in Rosewood, it’s hard to trust anything, except Hanna’s wardrobe. King has admitted before that she’s lied about Big A, and this honestly just makes everything even more suspicious.

Let’s also not forget how at the end of Season 5, we were promise the “Big A Reveal” and while A was revealed — to be some guy named Charles — we were all like, “but who is Charles?” While that’s not technically a lie, we were thrown off track. We got the truth, but not the whole truth. King is very good at this PLL game, so her saying she’s not going to lie anymore might be honest truth, however we still might not be getting exactly truth we’re looking for.

She doesn’t mention anything about no longer lying on Instagram, where she is also very active. And she doesn’t offer up to clarify any of her previous lies of the past. With two weeks left to go before SUPPOSEDLY everything is reveled, it looks like we’ve still got our PLL work cut out for us.
