You will not believe what this Pizza Hut delivery box can do

Today in Things That Exist, we present you with… the pizza box that doubles as a movie projector! Pizza Hut dubs this invention the “Blockbuster Box” and that’s exactly what it is. Now you don’t need to decide between ordering a pizza and going to the movies. You can do BOTH with one box. Yes, yes, yes.

According to The Verge, this unique way to repurpose a pizza box was designed by Ogilvy (Hong Kong), an international communications company. Here’s how it works: There’s a pop-out hole on the side of the pizza box, in which you place the accompanying lens.

Each box (there are four different ones you can get) comes with a movie, which you can access by scanning your smartphone. The Verge reports the boxes are called, “Slice Night (for horror fans), Anchovy Armageddon (for science-fiction), Hot & Ready (for romance), and Fully Loaded (for an action flick).”

Next, you place your smartphone against the lens inside the box. The box then “blows up your phone’s display onto any nearby wall.” Genius.

And lastly, the most important part. Oh, yass.

And if you’re worried about your phone touching greasy, cheesy pizza, Pizza Hut (technically Ogilvy) is way ahead of you. Business Insider reports, “The secret to each Blockbuster Box is the special pizza table that comes inside each box, which helps prevent the center of the box from touching your pizza and is traditionally made of plastic.”

For now, the box is only limited to select Pizza Huts in Hong Kong. But trust us PH, if you decide to bring this invention stateside, you will be handsomely rewarded with many delivery requests, mainly from the HelloGiggles offices.
