Unfortunately, Will Turner is still very dead in the latest “Pirates of the Caribbean” trailer
The latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Dead Men Tell No Tales, is going to set sail on Memorial Day weekend. While we’re always game for another adventure with Jack Sparrow, this next outing features a very familiar face — and it’s a face we really love, and have really missed, even though it’s covered in barnacles right now.
Orlando Bloom is returning as blacksmith-turned-pirate Will Turner for Dead Men Tell No Tales, and this is VERY EXCITING. Last we saw Will, he was dead — but okay, he wasn’t like, completely dead. He was more like, pirate-undead in the sense that he was now cursed to sail the seven seas with The Flying Dutchman and the immortal crew aboard it. He’s only allowed on land one day every ten years (such a bummer), and his last one day was spent with Elizabeth. Ten years later, the two have a son.
We’re going to meet that son, Henry, in Dead Men Tell No Tales. Looks like Will meets him, too — for what is possibly the second time ever.
As the new trailer shows, Will comes face to face with a boy, but it’s hard to tell if it’s actually *his* boy. That little smile at the end surly suggest that he’s greeting Henry. But this kid looks a little big younger than the Henry we’ve seen in the other trailers. Is this actually Henry at age 10? Is this a flashback? Or even better, DO WILL AND ELIZABETH HAVE ANOTHER CHILD that Will is meeting (in a ghostly underwater sunken ship)??????
Just throwing that out there.
