Here’s the dish on Pippa’s wedding menu (and her wedding cake!)

In case you’ve been dying to get the details on Pippa Middleton’s wedding like us, we’ve got some insight into what’s really important — the food.

Yesterday, Pippa, sister of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, married James Matthews in a beautiful and elaborate estate wedding in West Berkshire. Of course, the whole gang was there — Kate, Prince William and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte — along with 350 guests who noshed on gourmet eats.

According to Hello Magazine, Pippa and decided to celebrate in style with two receptions, a traditional sit-down meal in the afternoon followed by a less formal dinner party. The first meal included scallops and smoked salmon canapés, and of course champagne for toasts.

Pippa didn’t order just a few canapés either.

There were reportedly 20,000!

Additional dishes at the Middleton-Matthews wedding included a muntjac carpaccio with mushroom filling, langoustine, and asparagus with hollandaise sauce shared The Telegraph. (Don’t worry, we had to Google those too.)

And what would a classy royal event be without caviar? According to The Daily Star, a mysterious Russian source donated 17 pounds worth of very expensive caviar to the newlyweds.

Talk about an interesting wedding gift.

Pippa and James ensured many of the foods stuck to British delicacies sourced within the country. They also included some unique items, like a giant wheel of parmesan cheese and Spanish ham. For the less sophisticated palettes, there were finger foods for the kids, including mini sandwiches and raw vegetables.

And who could forget the cake?

Guests enjoyed a four-tiered fruit cake covered with white icing, made by Domino Purchas, a London cake designer.

Seriously, our mouths are just watering thinking about this. We’ll just have to make it to the next family affair. Hey, Prince Harry — whenever you’re ready to put a ring on it, don’t forget to throw an invitation our way!
