Pink Rice Krispies are coming, and Twitter is completely divided
Our beloved Rice Krispies are getting yet another makeover—and this time, it’s a millennial pink one. Kellogg’s announced that a new flavor called “Strawberry Krispies” will be available nationwide in January 2019. Though nothing quite compares to the original “Snap! Crackle! Pop!” cereal we know and love, according to Delish.com, Strawberry Krispies cereal “delivers on one of fans’ top flavor preferences with a simple, naturally-inspired strawberry flavor that perfectly complements the iconic cereal that snaps, crackles and pops.” The new version will be available in one of two sizes: 11.5-ounce and 16.5-ounce boxes, with prices ranging from $3.99 to $5.69.
It turns out the flavor isn’t an entirely new concept: Another version of Strawberry Krispies was released for a limited time in 1983 and then again in 2007 (that version of the cereal added strawberry pieces, rather than strawberry-flavoring). If fans like the new version, Strawberry Krispies will join original Rice Krispies, Cocoa Krispies, and Frosted Krispies as a brand staple.
However, so far, Twitter is a little skeptical.

One of my favorite cereals as a kid! But just the plain ones with a ton of sugar. No chance I’d try this one. OUT
