Pink just admitted she went a year without having sex with her husband
Relationships are a lot of work for non-famous folk and celebrities alike. In an interview, Pink talked about the ups and downs of her marriage with Carey Hart. The pair married in 2006, separated in 2008, and got back together in 2010. Pink discussed why sticking together is so hard, and how relationships have ebbs and flows.
“There are moments where I look at [Hart] and he is the most thoughtful, logical, constant … he’s like a rock,” Pink said.
Although she emphasized that Hart is a good man and a good partner, Pink got real about the difficulties of a long-term, monogamous relationship.
"He's a good man. He's a good dad. He's just the kind of dad I thought he'd be and then some," Pink said. "And then I'll look at him and go: I've never liked you. There's nothing I like about you. We have nothing in common. I don't like any of the shit you like. I don't ever wanna see you again. Then two weeks later I'm like, things are going so good, you guys."
Pink also dropped truth bombs about sex in a long-term relationship.
"When you'll go through times when you haven't had sex in a year," she said. "Is this bed death? Is this the end of it? Do I want him? Does he want me? Monogamy is work! But you do the work and it's good again."
Love isn’t like a Disney cartoon, right? Successful long-term relationships and marriages take a lot of time and effort. There are ups and downs along the way, and sometimes it’s hard to figure out what to do. But it’s great to see someone in the spotlight be so open and honest about these difficulties.
