Pickle juice soda is officially a thing, and nothing makes sense anymore
This may not look appetizing, but we’re thinking that, like many unexpected combinations, there’s a chance it’s delicious. Pickle Juice Soda: it’s a real thing now.
Do you love drinking pickle juice from a jar of pickles? You make pickle soup weekly? You know what a Pickle Back is, and you impress/disgust your friends with such knowledge whenever you’re out for drinks? You spent all day at your local Pickle Festival last fall? You seek out all the pickle restaurants?
Grandpa Joe’s Candy shop understands you. The chain of Ohio and Pennsylvania candy stores announced its new Pickle Juice Soda in a Facebook post on Saturday.
"If you're the kind of pickle lover who relishes all things pickled, this is gonna be a really big dill." the announcement said.

The juice “smells just like dill pickle juice as you might imagine. The taste is spot-on. While the flavor isn’t overwhelming, it’s sweet and would definitely satisfy that pickle craving,” the company said in an email to Mashable.
Though we’re intrigued, many recipients of the news were not. Lots of “yucks” and green vomit emojis appeared on the comments section of Facebook.
Basically, the reviews are mixed:
Oh hell no… I'd never drink #picklejuicesoda. I hate pickles and this makes me want to gag. Would you drink this? #tastetest #drink pic.twitter.com/ERGubmwIsT

If you’re itching to get your hands on a bottle, but aren’t in or near Pennsylvania or Ohio, you can buy it online. But it comes at a price. A single bottle online is $10. Those PA & OH residents can get it in-store for a mere $2.50. #jelly
