These photos from a grandma’s emotional first meeting with her new chihuahua will make you believe in love
We all have different opinions about what it means to experience love at first sight. But there’s no doubt that it comes in many forms, and when you least expect it. That’s why we’re so head over heels for this elderly woman and her new dog — and their moving first meeting.
The last thing that Jerri McCutcheon aimed to do was find another dog after her beloved Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix, Bandi, passed away last year. She didn’t want to go through the heartbreak again. Jerri told ABC News:
"I swore that I wouldn't have another dog... I just thought, 'I can't do this anymore at age 73. I just can't go through that.'"

Jerri’s granddaughter, Breanna Meuchel, took matters into her own hands by searching on her own for the perfect companion for her grandmother.
When she came across the Missoula Humane Society, she found Minnie — a 12-year-old teacup Chihuahua.
The best part? When Jerri and Minnie met for the first time, the two instantly bonded — and as you can see in the moving photos, Jerri became beautifully emotional. Who says that love doesn’t happen at first sight? For dog lovers like Jerri, we know that to be proved wrong.
