Pez candies are getting their own movie, so that’s awesome
Guys, it’s official: If anything is beloved enough, it can be turned into a movie. It just happened with Emojis, and it’s happening again with Pez candies. And we’re pretty. Freaking. Stoked.
Envision Media Arts is developing an animated movie around the old-school dispensers of little pellet candies, according to Entertainment Weekly. We don’t know what it will be about yet, but we do know it will be written by Cameron Fay of the upcoming film, Brothers in Law.
There’s a lot to love about Pez. The candy itself is fine enough, but the real fun is in the dispensers with the large cartoon heads. There are Disney Pez dispensers, Muppets Pez dispensers and Looney Tunes Pez dispensers. There are Star Wars Pez dispensers, Ninja Turtle Pez dispensers and Marvel Pez dispensers. Basically, if you can dream it, it’s a Pez dispenser.
So, how do you celebrate the announcement of a Pez movie? With a list of characters we hope are included in the movie, obviously. We took a stroll through eBay and rounded up some of our favorites!
