Peter Dinklage *might* be joining “Avengers: Infinity War” and the internet is freaking out
The bad news is that Game of Thrones Season 7 is still delayed until sometime late summer 2017. The GOOD NEWS is that with this altered filming schedule, Peter Dinklage has some extra free time on his hands, and the current really awesome rumor is that he’s about to sign on to a brand new movie — and not just any move. Peter Dinklage might join the next Avengers movie, and yes, it is time to freak out.
According to Variety, the hand of Daenerys Targaryen himself, Tyrion Lannister, is in early talks to join Avengers: Infinity War. And, not just one Infinity War, but BOTH parts of the epic two-part Avengers installment, set to come out in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
This is by no means confirmed, and Variety reached out to Marvel for confirmation. Marvel had no comment. They also didn’t deny it either, and OMG, there’s a high chance that this is really happening.
The internet wasted absolutely no time freaking TF out over this casting rumor, and instantly began speculating just WHO Dinklage might play. The internet, collective, seems to have narrowed it down to three different Marvel characters:
Pip the Troll, an alien who has ties to Infinity Wars’ big bad Thanos…and Gamora and the Infinity Stones (pause for a second to think about Dinklage one day crossing paths with Star Lord).

Different from the living computer we saw in Captain America: Winter Soldier — but, the Captain America screenwriters once teased that they’d love to introduce the character, and now might be the perfect time.

Uatu the Watcher, a celestial being who has been watching over Earth for many, many years. Uatu has interacted with many Marvel characters before, like Captain America, Dr. Strange, and even Ant-Man. Also, the Fantastic Four. If Dinklage does play Uatu, that might mean Mr. Fantastic is soon going to make his way into the MCU.

Keep in mind, this is only just a rumor right now, but usually movie rumors come true. The next Avengers movie is getting ready to film this summer, and hopefully if Dinklage secures a part, his character drinks and knows things. We expect nothing less from him.
