Pete Wentz gave his new daughter a Marvel-inspired name, and it’s perfectly feminist
Congratulations are in order! Pete Wentz and partner Meagan Camper just just welcomed a new baby girl. This is the third child for Wentz — he’s the proud dad of Bronx Mowgli, who he had in 2008 with ex Ashlee Simpson, and Saint Laszlo, his first son with Camper. To keep with tradition, Camper and Wentz chose a unique name for their first daughter — and it seems they were quite possibly inspired by The Avengers. The new baby’s name is Marvel Jane, and we think it’s, well, marvelous.
Wentz opened up about the birth on Mother’s Day, May 13th, sharing a picture of his family.
"So excited to introduce Marvel Jane Wentz," he wrote on Instagram. "Feeling so grateful that she’s here... annnnd she’s already ready to takeover the world ❤🌎 happy Mother’s Day @meagancamper and all the moms out there. We ❤ you."
We love everything about this
The picture is even more special since it’s rare for Wentz to post photos of Bronx and Saint online. The last glimpse we got was back in January, when he announced that he was expecting a baby girl.
Camper and Wentz have reportedly been dating since 2011. In 2014, he told Us Weekly that marriage wasn’t off the table, saying, “I feel really lucky. It’s, like, really interesting [to be] in a relationship with someone who is truly my best friend. Like, I talk to her about everything.”
We can’t wait to hear more details about Marvel Jane, and assume she’s already one of the tiniest Fall Out Boy fans out there.
