Pete Davidson got a “Queer Eye” makeover, and he’s now the suave Inspector Gadget of our dreams
If you’re fully obsessed with Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson and Netflix’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy reboot, we have the best video of the day for you. One of our favorite Fab 5 members, Tan France, just gave Davidson a Queer Eye style makeover, and the video of the two pals shopping together at Saks Fifth Avenue will make you LOL and warm your heart.
There’s nothing we love more than the Queer Eye crew giving an, ahem, in-need dude a makeover, and it seems that Davidson, with his super-relaxed and colorful style, needed a teensy bit of help. In the video, posted on SNL‘s YouTube channel, Davidson gamely tells France, “I trust you way more than my Staten Island fashion knowledge.” (To which France responded, “Is that where you’re from? That explains so much!” Lol.)
France also asked Davidson if he feels sexy when he leaves the house, to which Davidson quipped, "Never! I don't even have mirrors in my house because I don't like looking at my face." Awww, Pete!
The video truly speaks for itself:
After settling on a super-sharp final look, including a hunter green jacket, chambray shirt with a white tee underneath, black pants, and crisp white sneakers, Davidson calls his new vibe a “cool upgrade.” He also said he felt like “Timothée Chalamet.” Again, LOL.
And just like that, a style icon is born. We officially love everything about Davidson’s new chic style (though, TBH, we were also big fans of his baggy pants and oversized sweatshirt). Either way, we’re swooning.
