“SNL” star Pete Davidson opened up about how Kid Cudi saved his life — here’s why it’s super important
Whether we want to admit it or not, mental health has quite the stigma in this country. It’s something that’s often not talked about or taken seriously, so when celebrities come out and open up about their own struggle with mental health, it’s a breath of fresh air and a reminder that we don’t have to go through anything alone!
Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson recently opened up about his own struggles with depression in an interview with The Breakfast Club and how rapper Kid Cudi, who is currently in rehab for depression and other mental health issues, ultimately saved his life from his own depression.

"He saved my life. I would’ve killed myself if I didn’t have Kid Cudi. If you're 25 and under, I truly believe that Kid Cudi saved your life. I would’ve killed myself. Absolutely 100%. I truly believe if Man on the Moondidn’t come out, I wouldn’t be here."
Wow! That’s pretty heavy, but we’re so glad Pete is brave enough to open up and talk about his own struggles. Fans are applauding the actor for doing so:

The SNL star added, "It's kind of comforting to know your hero goes through the same stuff you do. I think that's why a lot of kids my age can relate to Cudi and people love him so much is because he's a very emotional dude."
And there’s nothing wrong with being emotional! We’re SO happy that these two are breaking down the stigma of mental health!
