This beautiful video shows people reacting to being called beautiful
“I conducted a social experiment at my high school,” Chicago-based YouTube user Shea Glover explains in a video that was published this past May, and has recently resurfaced. “I asked students and teachers to allow me to take their picture for a project.”
Shea knew some of her subjects, but most of the teachers and students she photographed Shea did not know personally. Still, she told all her subjects the same thing: “I’m taking pictures of things I find beautiful.”
As Shea explains in her post about the video, the photography project was not meant to be a social experiment, but that’s exactly what happened about halfway through when people started reacting in the most wonderful ways to being called beautiful.
“I want to clarify that my intentions were not to get a reaction out of people,” Shea explains. “I was simply filming beauty and this is the result.”
Here are some of our favorite reactions:
“There is so much beauty in the world,” Shea concludes her video. “If you blink, you’ll miss it.”
Feeling FEELINGS right now, you guys. Everyone Shea talked to was so beautiful, and it was the sweetest thing to watch her subjects realize the power of their own gorgeousness.
