A ton of people are totally freaking out about the Powerball

The Internet is doing what it does best: freaking out. And this time, it’s about a CRAZY amount of money.

Last night was the Powerball drawing. But it wasn’t just any Powerball drawing. . . it carried the largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever: $949.8 million. That’s a lot of moolah.

So naturally, a lot of people were pretty excited. Obviously, those who entered were clutching their tickets, excitedly dreaming about what they’d do with all that cash, but even those who didn’t enter couldn’t help but be a bit curious about who would be an almost-billionaire overnight. Because obviously, someone would be; according to lottery officials, 75% of all combinations had been bought by Saturday night, which means there was a three in four chance of someone possessing the lucky ticket, which turned out to be 16, 19, 32, 34, 57, and the Powerball 13.

Except no one did. That’s right — the Powerball jackpot, which was already bigger than it ever has been, swelled to a whopping $1.3 billion. As Mashable notes, it’s possible that this is the only lottery ever where one single person could win $1 billion.

So understandably, people are freaking out. Some are a *little* bit annoyed they didn’t win last night:
