Pentatonix’s cover of Justin Bieber’s “Where Are U Now” is aca-amazing

Pentatonix, the five-member acapella group that gained notoriety on NBC’s The Sing-Off, can do what so few cover artists can do: Make a song sound even better than the original. They’ve done it countless times, releasing stunning covers of Ariana Grande, Nicki Manaj, and Daft Punk jams. By some miracle, the group has even made classic Christmas songs sound new again – swoon!

The best part about Pentatonix is that they create every sound with their voices, from the bass to the beats to the highest notes. They are so tight and so talented that sometimes it’s hard to distinguish their acapella singing from auto-tuned music on the radio.

Their fourth studio album, aptly named Pentatonix, is dropping on October 16, and the singles that they’ve released in the past month have already set a great precedent for the rest of the record. Most recently, the group debuted their cover of Justin Bieber’s “Where Are U Now” and … wow. You have to hear it. It’s aca-unreal.

Pentatonix isn’t just about the sound, though. The group’s performances are so passionate, it’s almost as if each singer is in his or her own world, signing his or her own hit song, even when the vocal part might just be “dum”s or “oh”s.

I mean, look at that passion.

If they can make singing “oh” look this amazing, the rest of us need to step up our game.

SO MANY ACA-EMOTIONS.

How do you even make snapping so epic?

Seriously, guys, teach me your ways!

Ok, bye. I have to go listen to this song a million times and teach myself to feel feelings as deeply as Pentatonix does. Wish me luck.
