Perfect Pear Pastries
Ingredients:
1 pear
1/4 brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cloves
Store-bought pie crust
Honey
Directions:
Cut a slice off the bottom of your pear so it can stand up flat.
Use a corer or knife and spoon to core the pear.
Peel the pear and then set aside.
In a small bowl mix together the cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves until combined.
Dredge your prepped pear in the mixture until it is completely covered.
Wrap pear in store-bought pie crust and cut away the excess.
Cut a leaf shape from the extra crust and press gently onto pear to cover the seam.
Make a few vertical slices along the body of the pear so steam can vent while baking.
Place on prepared baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven.
Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with extra cinnamon.
Serve immediately.
