The peanut-butter and jelly eyeshadow palette is coming, and it looks delicious
If you love peanut butter and jelly, we’ve got some great news: You can now put it on your face. Well, your eyes, to be specific. The makeup brand Too Faced just announced a release date for their Peanut Butter and Jelly Eye Shadow Collection, “a creamy and decadent eye shadow collection” inspired by the childhood staple.
Okay, the actual inspiration for this palette came from a shade in another Too Faced product — the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette. That palette contained 16 shades, including a warm medium matte brown shade called “Peanut Butter” that babes on social media went completely nuts for (pun totally intended). Too Faced took note, and used that color as a springboard to create a mini-palette filled with similar shades that brand co-founder/CEO Jerrod Blandino teased on his Instagram a few weeks ago.
The Peanut Butter & Jelly Collection contains 9 eye shadows in a mix of mattes and shimmers, including the shade that started the craze, and it’s said to smell like actual peanut butter and jelly. We’re not sure how Too Faced accomplished that, but the shadows are all infused with Too Faced’s signature, an antioxidant-rich cocoa powder, which we’re sure helps gives the palette its delicious scent.
Here’s a complete description of the colors:
Spread the Love: Medium Peach with Gold Sparkle
Peanut Butter: Matte Medium Orange Brown
Peanut Butter Cup: Metallic Golden Bronze with Gold Sparkle
Bananas: Soft Peachy Gold with Fine Gold Shimmer
Peanut Brittle: Metallic Burnt Orange
Jammin’: Dark Chocolate with Golden Sparkle
Extra Creamy: Matte Creamy Beige
Jelly: Vibrant Orchid
Nuts About U: Matte Red Brown
It also doesn’t contain any actual peanuts, so it’s the only — and best — version of PB&J available to those who have allergies. The palette costs $36 and is available exclusively at Ulta starting on February 28th.
