Paul McCartney is seriously in “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and his pirate transformation is epic
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for a Beatle! Prepare yourselves for some major news: Paul McCartney is actually in Pirates of the Caribbean. Yes, really.
The legendary singer announced on Saturday that he is in fact in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. How did he do this? By sharing an epic photo of himself dressed as a fierce pirate.
The fifth Pirates movie hits theaters later this month, and now we are even more excited to see it. If you thought having Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley back onscreen was big, this is even bigger.
McCartney is trading in his yellow submarine for a pirate ship, and man, is it cool. Because we never expected the British singer to be in a movie like this, we are still reeling.
“#PiratesLife,” McCartney captioned the movie poster, and it’s dead on.

Seriously, how cool does McCartney look in this poster? His pirate’s hat, big rings, and beard — oh that beard — is SO on point.
He kind of reminds of us Jack Sparrow in this shot, which is awesome.
The 74-year-old singer is set to play “Jail Guard 2,” according to IMDB. Whether or not that is a big or small role has yet to be announced.
Walt Disney Pictures did confirm the casting news by posting the picture on their social media pages. This is great news, because at least we know it is real.
McCartney will be the second rock legend to appear in the Pirates franchise. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards played Sparrow’s father Captain Teague in the third film. So, first there was a Stones member and now a Beatles singer?
We are SO on board with this.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters on May 26th, 2017.
