The past and present “Ghostbusters” casts linked up for this photo op, and it’s perfect

We have been beyond excited about seeing the all-female cast reboot of Ghostbusters since it was announced. With a stacked cast of hilarious comedy royalty, there has been no doubt in our minds that this movie will leave us feeling as giddy as Slimer leaves us feeling Ectoplasm-y.

At first, some people thought that maybe the original cast wouldn’t approve of the new one. And if the knowledge that Bill Murray is actually in the new movie (and Dan Aykroyd makes a cameo) aren’t enough to make you believe that these guys are actually really supportive of this reboot, this photo that director Paul Feig just tweeted should do the trick. false

Yep, that’s the main cast of the old Ghostbusters having the best time ever hanging out with the main cast of new reboot. Everyone in this picture has a genuine smile on their face and it’s clear love being around each other. If you’re the type of person who needed to see it to believe it (which is totally understandable when it comes to all things ghost-oriented), there’s no mistaking the pure joy that exudes from this captured candid moment.

Luckily for us, too, the casts (old and new) are set to do even more appearances, including one on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. The timing is not only perfect since it will not only remind people about the upcoming movie’s release on July 15 (as if we could forget), but the it’s also 32 years (to the day!) since the release of the original in 1984. We can only hope that they’ll be spending lots more time together in the upcoming weeks to promote the film so that they can take even more happy pictures together.

So if you want to learn how to have a ton of fun together, it’s obvious who you gonna call.
