Paris Jackson sang on stage, and apparently good vocals run in the family

It looks like being raised by a musical icon might have had some effect on her. Paris Jackson sang a song on stage with her cousin Austin Brown, and luckily, the moment was captured on Instagram. The duet was so special that we think these two truly need to consider going on tour together.

While Jackson has honored her late father Michael in many ways, we think that performing in front of a crowd with such powerful vocals is one of the best.

According to Brown’s post, the duet took place at New York City’s Soho House. The song is an original number by Brown called “Smile,” and Jackson happened to know all the lyrics by heart.

"Nothing better than when your little cousin knows the words to your record “Smile and wants to sing it with you. Love u so much @parisjackson," he wrote.

We think that both of them sound a little bit like Michael. Brown is no stranger to music — he landed a deal with Interscope Records back when he was just 18, and he’s performed alongside big acts like Miguel, Lupe Fiasco, and The Roots in the past. As he and Paris are both fantastic, we’re just sad the clip isn’t longer.

Back in May, Jackson revealed to Vanity Fair that she knows she’s musically talented but isn’t sure she wants to focus on those skills just yet.

The 19-year-old already models and acts, so adding “singer” to the mix would make her a triple threat.

"I haven’t yet felt the need to make a career out of it," she said. "We’ll see."

Hopefully she knows that if she decides to head into the studio, we’ll be here for it.
