Paris Hilton’s Husband Carter Reum Has a Not-So Secret Love Child
As a surprise announcement comes that he and the Simple Life star give birth to a son via surrogate.
Paris Hilton and Carter Reum may have just welcomed their first child together, but past published reports say this actually marks baby number two for the millionaire venture capitalist — and the birth of his new baby with Paris is drudging up details about Reum’s relationship (or lack thereof) with his elder child.
In November 2021, the same month he and Hilton tied the knot, Page Six revealed that Reum fathered a secret love child. According to a source “with direct knowledge of the situation,” Reum doesn’t have a relationship with his daughter, whose mother is reality TV star Laura Bellizzi.

“The people who this story matters to have known about it for 10 years. Carter supports this child. While he does not have a traditional father-daughter relationship with her, he has provided for her since she was born, and will continue to do so,” Reum’s spokesperson said in a statement to Page Six.
According to 2020 signed legal documents, Reum conceded that the child is his without taking a paternity test. Fans may recognize Bellizzi from VH-1’s Secrets of Aspen. She was also romantically linked to actor Mel Gibson in 2011, the same year she was pregnant with Reum’s child.
Naturally, at the time, this led many to believe she and Gibson were expecting. Bellizzi shut down the “lies and speculation” in a statement to TMZ.
“‘Mel Gibson is not the father of my child,” Bellizzi claims, although she acknowledges they do know one another. However, the “details pertaining to her level of past and/or present involvement with him are private,” Bellizi’s rep told TMZ.
They continued: “Additionally, any alleged “friends” of Ms. Bellizzi claiming that she told them that Mr. Gibson “is the father” of her child are either misinterpreting her desire for privacy surrounding the identity of the father, or are being 100% dishonest in a mis-guided effort to seek 5 seconds of notoriety and fame. Laura has never told any acquaintances or friends that Mel Gibson is the father of her child. That is total rubbish!”
Page Six’s source added that Reum’s daughter is desperate to “know her daddy.”
“She just wants to really complete the missing pieces of her puzzle,” the source said. “She’s at that age where self-identity is so important, and children want to know who they are and where they come from. It’s important for him to help her with that.”
Meanwhile, the heiress shocked fans on Tuesday with the revelation that she and Carter gave birth to a baby son, via surrogate. She made the announcement via Instagram with a sweet photo of what’s presumably her well-manicured hand holding a baby’s hand, with a caption reading “you are already loved beyond words.”
Chrissy Teigen, Demi Lovato, Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian were among the stars who were quick to chime in with their congratulatory messages. “It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy,” Hilton shared with People.
The 41-year old star married Reum in November of 2021, and has since been open about her struggles with infertility, and journey with using IVF to try and conceive. We wish Paris and her new bundle of joy all the best! Motherhood, now that’s hot.
