How did we miss that Paris is *also* returning to “Gilmore Girls”?

There’s been a LOT of excitement over the Gilmore Girls reboot this past week, but we’ve managed to miss one KINDA big detail: Paris Geller will show her face once again in Stars Hollow.

Maybe we all just assumed that Rory’s nemesis-turned-friend-turned-roommate (maybe the first ever documented frenemy) would turn up. However, learning from the Melissa McCarthy/Sookie sitch, we can’t assume ANYTHING about this Netflix revival. Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel certainly got big announcements regarding their return, and we felt so many feelings after learning Matt Czuchry’s Logan was coming back. In oddly atypical Paris fashion, there has been no Big Deal made about her return, so we need to make it a Big Deal right now.

Kelly Bishop, who plays matriarch Emily Gilmore, was the one to actually reveal this tidbit to TVLine.

Talking about some of the best characters set to return to the show, Bishop explained, “Paris is a hoot. It’s unbelievable what [showrunner] Amy [Sherman-Palladino] has written for Paris. People are going to have so much fun with it.”

Last we saw Paris (played by Liza Weil, who you might known right now as Bonnie on How To Get Away with Murder) she was headed off to medical school, and her and Rory realized that no matter what, they were destined to be friends forever. Paris had also just broken up with her boyfriend Doyle (played by Danny Strong, or who you might know right now as one of the creators of Empire) but he refused to accept their breakup, and basically said, “Where you lead, I will follow, anywhere that you tell me to.” Now we need to know if Doyle’s going to pop back up again, too.

Right now, it’s unclear how many of the four season-themed episodes Paris will appear in, but we can worry about that later. Paris Geller for president of everything.
