Pamela Anderson opened up about how she stays healthy without a gym membership

Pamela Anderson has been gracing our screens and magazines for literally decades, and she generally seems — dare we say it — pretty gosh darn ageless. SO WHAT’S THE SECRET?!

In an interview with People, Pamela Anderson says she doesn’t work out — but of course, she does maintain her health by staying active in other ways. It’s just not with a gym membership.

"I don’t work out much. I walk on the beach, and I love the feeling after a long walk or a walk through a museum. I’ve always stretched and moved my body with resistance. I like dancing — I was taking ballet in Paris — but I’m double jointed and need to keep my strength. I’m more flexible than strong."

via giphyShe noted that she occasionally goes to the gym to use more traditional equipment, but that it’s “a little boring” without something to read. If you’re wondering what her reading material of choice is…it’s Napoleon and Josephine in French. Whoa. We’re trés impressed.

Anderson says the other key component to her personal fitness is her diet. She noted that it includes lots of fruits, vegetables, and nuts. And her coffee is decaf.

"I think being vegetarian has kept me young," she says. "I am healthy and work hard at that."
