PaleyFest’s Spring 2018 lineup is full of strong, powerful ladies

You’re probably already watching a lot of lady-powered television nowadays, but are you looking for even more? If that’s something you’re on the hunt for, good news — you can discover your new favorite show — or catch up with some old friends — this year when PaleyFest takes to the stage for the 35th year (!!) at the Dolby Theater this spring.

PaleyFest is *the* place to not only see your favorite shows and stars, but also get up and actually talk to them. You can’t do that while you’re watching TV in your living room. (Even though you might find yourself yelling at your TV sometimes. Spoiler alert: They can’t hear you.) The 2018 spring schedule for PaleyFest is also a sight to behold, and to kick things off this year, there will be a special tribute to Barbra Streisand honoring and celebrating her work in television, which has spanned decades and over a dozen network specials.

Following the opening night, there’s not one, not even two, but *six* different shows with some of our favorite ladies from drama and comedy. PaleyFest is the only place where you’re going to talk about Handmaid’s Tale and Mom in the same sentence — same goes for Riverdale and Stranger Things, but let’s be honest, Dark Betty and Eleven would probably be best friends.

The programming kicks off on March 16th and runs through March 25th, and includes some peak TV treasures like:

March 16: PaleyFest Icon Tribute to Barbra Streisand, 7:30pm — Babs. Enough said.
March 17: NBC’s Will & Grace, 7:00pm — It’s been too long since Grace and Karen (and of course Will and Jack) were part of our lives, and we’re so, so happy to have them back.
March 18: Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, 2:00pm — If there’s any one TV show that really defined a turning point for feminism in 2017, it’s Handmaid’s Tale. In the words of what’s carved into the baseboard of Offred’s closet, “Nolite te bastardes carborundorum.”
March 24: CBS’s Mom, 2:00pm — The winning combination of Anna Faris and Allison Janney is so great it should probably EGOT.
March 24: OWN’s Queen Sugar, 7:00pm — Now is a great time to become obsessed with Queen Sugar, because it was created by Ava DuVernay and executive produced by Oprah. Powerful ladies making powerful TV shows.
March 25: CW’s Riverdale, 2:00pm — Betty and Veronica and Cheryl and Josie forever ❤️.
March 25: Netflix’s Stranger Things, 7:00pm — Let’s be real, those Stranger Things boys wouldn’t be anywhere without Eleven.
