This little girl’s reaction to being a big sister is perfect for every occasion

Finding out you’re going to be a big sister is one of life’s most important moments. But for many of us it happens before we’re quite old enough to understand (or even remember!) what’s going on.

Some kids have no idea how to process this news and have a little rage-cry (show of hands, please, if that was you). For other kids it’s all a love-fest of bubbling over glee and excitement. And for others still, well, something else entirely happens.

Now, my brother is a year and a half younger than me, so I’m in the camp of people who can’t remember their reaction when they found out they were going to be a big sister . . . but I wish I could turn back time and change my response to be just like this little girl’s.

In this hilarious 40-second video, this loving dad takes his little girl on his lap and shows her a new book that he and mommy bought for her. It’s called, Hello In There! A Big Sister’s Book Of Waiting. As he reads the title to her, she adorably repeats, “Hello in there!” Then dad cuts to the chase: “You know why we got you this?. . . Because you’re going to be a big sister.” And then, she lets slip the reaction that trumps every reaction ever.
