Orlando Bloom is helping his former drama school teacher teach a group of kids

If you need a break, here’s something that might brighten your day. Actor Orlando Bloom is helping his former drama school teacher teach a group of kids. That’s right! The Pirates of the Caribbean star took time out of his day to teach some students some acting techniques. Not too shabby for a regular day of school!

According to Manchester Evening News, Orlando joined his former teacher, renowned voice coach Patsy Rodenburg for a drama workshop at Cheadle Hulme High School in Greater Manchester, England. She is known for creating the “Cicero curriculum,” which teaches students to have a “strong speaking voice, increasing presence and improving posture, facial expression, and eye contact.”

Clearly, Orlando Bloom benefitted from her masterful teaching and is paying it forward!

Just look at those kids’ faces!

Another of Patsy Rodenburg’s former students joined the workshop: Paapa Essiedu, known for being the first black actor to play Hamlet in the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Students performed excerpts of Julius Caesar and other Shakespeare plays for their teachers and an audience. Additionally, Orlando and Paapa took to the stage with the students to share a few tips.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Orlando also gave some special advice to a 15-year-old student, Maximus Evans, who said:

"When I found out Orlando was dyslexic like me it made me want to go home and read more Shakespeare. When I was up there going through my lines, I felt like I had a real connection with him.

People adds that Orlando worked with a group of 11-year-olds.

Additionally, Orlando seemed to have a great time, too. He told the Manchester Evening News.:

"It’s an amazing school. And it was amazing to see how quickly they [the pupils] responded and to see their confidence just grow within minutes.

On the whole, we would all love to be in a class with Professor Bloom. Most of us are still in love with him from his Lord of the Rings days. Additionally, it wouldn’t hurt to have a teacher who has made it in Hollywood. These kids are really getting a great learning experience!
