There’s supposedly an “orgasm button” on our body, and we’re into it
An orgasm button? One that has nothing to do with the illusive G-spot? The clitoris isn’t involved? Please, tell us more…
As you know, the human body is crazy complex and full of secrets. I mean, if it weren’t, there would be no doctors, no psychologists, no chiropractors, no surgeons, no… You get the point. With that being said, Redbook just revealed that many of us have been walking around with something called an “orgasm button” and we had absolutely no clue.
According to the fields of Acupressure and Chinese Medicine, there’s a special spot below your belly button – about three fingers, width-wise, below. It’s known as the Sea Of Energy (or Conception Vessel 6). Acupressure experts explain that if we press on this site for 2-3 minutes and pay attention to our breathing, this can help release pent-up energy. Blood will then flow toward one’s genitals, thus making it easier for both women and men to climax.
Dr. Michael Reed Gach states, “The Sea of Qi (CV 6) is good for all kinds of sexual problems for men and women. The abdominal muscles often tighten during lovemaking, which can block the flow of sexual energy. Pressing CV 6 and acupressure points around it, can relieve the abdominal tension, strengthen the urinary and reproductive systems, and increase sexual intimacy and pleasure.”
Chinese medicine expert Daniel Reid adds that it’s better for a couple to perform this technique together, especially since it will allow them to be immersed in each other’s sexual energy.
Warning (or bonus perhaps?): the Sea of Energy pressure point is also great for relieving constipation. “Press CV 6 two or three times a day to relieve and prevent constipation and irritable bowel,” says Dr. Gach. “Pressing this point activates and strengthens the large intestine, encourages peristalsis, and relaxes the abdomen.”
Alright, so you may want to make a trip to the bathroom before you and your partner start experimenting with the Sea of Energy. Because no one wants to deal with a poop emergency during sexy time, right?
