You can now order food from Google. Life = made

When cooking an entire meal gets in the way of Netflix binge-watching and all those other very fun things you could be doing besides chopping onions and boiling noodles in the kitchen, and when getting dressed into clothes that aren’t your pajamas to go eat out at a restaurant is too much to handle, what do you do? You order in! Ordering food is one of life’s simple (albeit expensive) pleasures. You consult delivery services like Seamless or Eat24 or Grubhub (or even go old school and check out that menu shoved into your mailbox), you pick what food you’d like to munch on by browsing a virtual menu, and you click the blessed button “Order Now.” Easy as pie (which you can order too, while you’re at it).

But what if we told you there’s even an EASIER way to order food? It’s essentially one step below telekinesis. You can now order your dinner from Google, because of course you can. According to Life Hack, “Google’s adding the option to place orders directly to its mobile results. Just search for a restaurant and, if delivery is available, Google will let you place an order.” So, while you’re using Google Maps on your phone to figure out where you want to eat, you can also find out if they deliver. YASS.

While you would still be using delivery services like Seamless and Grubhub, it’s so much easier now to have all those options available to you on one page. Ordering food via Google would look something like this (courtesy of The LA Times):

You’ll still be able to view the restaurant’s menu, and all information you normally would need when ordering some noms. Right now, Google is using Eat24, Seamless,Grubhub, Delivery.com, MyPizza.com, and BeyondMenu, but they say they’ll be adding more soon.

Or, who knows? Maybe Google will start their own delivery service. I wouldn’t put it past the almighty Google.
