Oprah felt SO many emotions witnessing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s love up-close, and girl, we relate
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot in front of the world, but a few close friends, 2,000 commoners, and a select group of super celebrities witnessed the wedding up-close. Oprah penned a letter in the August 2018 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine about her experience at the royal wedding and said that Harry and Meghan’s love is the real deal and an inspiration.
“I was unprepared for the depth of emotion I felt stepping onto the grounds of Windsor Castle,” Oprah said of the royal wedding (via E! News). “It literally took my breath away. I exclaimed out loud to no one in particular: ‘Whoa! This right here is a whole ‘nother level!’”
Oprah said she didn’t fully grasp the seriousness of Meghan’s new role until she was standing there in the castle with her.
"And I thought immediately of the history, the legacy, the astounding moment Meghan Markle was stepping into. And what it would take to be prepared for such a moment," Oprah continued in O, The Oprah Magazine. "The life she was leaving behind and the new world to which she was rising — all part of a destiny she helped design."
Then Oprah got real about the love she witnessed between Meghan and Harry that day, and we’re tearing up a bit just reading this.
"We all want to feel as radiant, joyful, and alive as Meghan looked on her way down the aisle to meet Harry. Both of them were glowing with happiness. I can't wait to see the goodness that will come from their union. Goodness that I know for sure will help change the way the world thinks about what is possible, even more than it already has."
Oprah also told British Vogue that the royal wedding “left me feeling that anything is possible through the power of love.”
Wow, okay, Oprah has convinced us. We’re now switching all our life goals, intentions, and mantras to feeling as “radiant, joyful, and alive as Meghan.”
