Oprah shared her mantra for when she feels lonely, and everyone should hear this
No matter who you are, everyone feels lonely sometimes. This is even true for one of the world’s most famous people, former talk show guru and philanthropist Oprah. In a recent interview with British Vogue, the icon revealed the mantra she turns to when she’s feeling alone.
Oprah sat down with the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful, in advance of her appearance on the cover of its August issue, and in the interview, the self-made billionaire shared the following Maya Angelou quote: “I come as one, but I stand as 10,000.”
"What does that mean?" she said. "Close your eyes and think of your parents. Think of your mother and your father. Now think of their mother and their father. Now think of their mother and their father. [...] That's your 10,000. So when you walk into a room, you never walk alone. You walk with the 10,000 who've come before you and are with you and are constantly surrounding you."

Oprah also discussed her thoughts on younger generations.
“My biggest frustration is with young people who think that — and I have a lot of this with my girls in college — they think that success is to happen like that [in the snap of a finger],” she told Enninful. “They think that there isn’t a process to it […] How I got to be a brand was every day, making choices that felt like this was the right move. Now that’s the right move, and now that’s the next right move.”
