One Dog Saw Past This Kitten’s Disability And Now They’re Best Friends

This post was originally published by Jenny Kutner on The Dodo.

Ralphee the kitten has a neurological disorder, feline cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which causes him to tremor uncontrollably and has prevented development of his fine motor skills. But to say that Ralphee “suffers” from CH would likely be incorrect; the disorder doesn’t preclude happy, healthy development otherwise, and many cats with CH (like Smokey, age 21) lead long and loving lives.

But just because Ralphee’s CH isn’t degenerative doesn’t mean this kitten’s life is easy — besides, everyone could always use a friend. That’s why she has Max, the cattle dog who hasn’t left her side since she was first brought home.
