We just got a sneak peek at the new season of ‘Once Upon a Time’
We’re getting all kinds of Disney goodies this weekend courtesy of the D23 fan convention AKA Disney’s version of Comic-Con. From scoop on upcoming Disney/Pixar animated features to ALL the dirt on the new Star Wars movies, this weekend is basically Christmas in August for Disney fans.
So of COURSE the co-creators of ABC’s Once Upon A Time (AKA the Disney mash-up to end all Disney mash-ups) Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, along with cast members Ginnifer Goodwin (AKA Snow White), Josh Dallas (AKA Prince Charming), and Lana Parrilla (AKA Evil Queen) showed up to the festivities AND they showed up bearing gifts. No, there was nary a poisoned apple or ego-boosting magic mirror to be found. Rather, as the Hollywood Reporter tells us, the cast and crew came with the first minute of the fifth season of Once Upon a Time to tease fans with before the show returns this fall.
So, to catch us all up (spoiler alert for those that aren’t caught up with the show) Emma (AKA Snow White’s daughter) pulled a hero move at the very end of S4’s finale episode by taking on the powers of The Dark One in order to save Regina (AKA The Evil Queen, we know, it’s a lot of names/identities to keep straight). At the top of Season 5, as we see in the clip, Emma has disappeared and when Hook (like the captain, yes) tries to summon her back with a magical dagger and cannot, this, according to Regina/Evil Queen, can only mean one thing. Emma (DA DA DUHHHHH) is no longer in this world.
