There’s about to be a major princess team-up on “Once Upon a Time,” and we are thrilled

Get ready, Once Upon A Time fans: Ariel is back!
Actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher will reprise her role as Ariel on the show when it returns this spring. And of course, we cannot wait to watch. To jog your memory, we haven’t seen the red-haired beauty since season four. When we last saw her, she reunited Ursula with her father, the all-mighty Poseidon.
Swisher is confirmed for at least one episode, so who knows what’s in store. However, there’s big news.
Showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis note that she’ll be back to come to the assistance of the show’s main characters.
“Ariel returns and meets Princess Jasmine as they join Hook on an adventure as he and Emma face a daunting challenge that requires a big time princess team-up," they told Entertainment Weekly.
The best part of the show is seeing what creative ways the classic Disney heroes will band together and where the story will take them. At the end of last season, things got a bit messy. Emma and Regina are stuck indefinitely in the wish realm after running into Robin Hood. Additionally, Captain Hook and David are trying to save them. Meanwhile, Belle and Rumple are trying to save their son Gideon from the Black Fairy.
We’re looking forward to seeing what other fun characters might join Storybrooke.
The show is always adventurous when it comes to bringing in heroes from all across the Disney canon. Like Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. They even brought in Elsa from Frozen to take on Peter Pan.
We can’t wait to see Ariel take her mermaid talents back to Storybrooke alongside our favorite princesses. It will be the ultimate form of girl power.
