OMG! Madonna is doing Carpool Karaoke and we just know it’s going to be amazing
We have a long list of stars that we’d LOVE to see do Carpool Karaoke, including Madonna, Janet Jackson, Ariana Grande, Paul McCartney, and Beyoncé. And now it appears that some of our dreams are coming true.
Yep, Madonna is doing Carpool Karaoke with James Corden and we can’t bloomin’ wait!
This year has been pretty great for Carpool Karaoke. Not only did we have Britney Spears appear and talk about tickle fetishes while singing “…Baby One More Time,” Lady Gaga also blew our socks off with her song “A Million Reasons,” and the FLOTUS, Michelle Obama, was joined by Missy Elliott (AMAZING). Basically, all of our favorite people have driven around L.A. (or The White House, in Michelle’s case) and sung some incredible songs and it’s all been pretty darn hilarious.
So, how do we know Madonna is doing Carpool Karaoke?
Well, Madonna posted a selfie with James Corden and basically it’s amazing!
"Riding around Manhattan with this Hunk of Burning Love 🔥💘🚗🚗@latelateshow🚗🚗carpool karaoke 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉," she wrote, in an emoji filled caption.
AHHHHH! SO EXCITING!
What’s more, James Corden seemed to confirm that Madonna was set to appear in the popular segment, too.
"Just a typical Wednesday with @Madonna. NBD. #CarpoolKaraoke," someone tweeted from The Late Late Show account.
Given that Madonna has been in the music business for over 30 years and has more hits than basically everyone put together, we SO eager to find out which songs she’ll be performing with James Corden.
While she’s not known for looking backwards in her career (she is the queen of re-invention after all), the pop music legend has been paying homage to her back catalogue recently. She even performed her 1983 hit “Borderline” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this year.
What’s more, the star has also been sharing #TBT videos and pictures on her Instagram account, too, and earlier this year she performed a special one-off show in Australia called “Tears of a Clown” where she entertained crowds with a bunch of tracks that she BARELY performs, such as “Don’t Tell Me” and “Drowned World/Substitute for Love.”
We’re totally hoping that Madonna brings out some of her classics. Obviously “Vogue” NEEDS to make an appearance, as does “Hung Up,” “Get into the Groove,” “Like a Prayer,” and “Open Your Heart.” In fact, there are just too many to choose from.
There’s no announcement as to when Madonna’s Carpool Karaoke segment will air, but we’re assuming it’ll be very, very soon.
