The Olsen sisters were goth queens at the CFDAs
It’s always such a blessing whenever Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen grace us with their presence. We can usually expect the fashion designing duo and former Full House stars to kill it on the red carpet in their signature couture goth garb, but at last night’s CFDA Awards, they brought along a special guest who was also dressed in black — their sister, Elizabeth Olsen.
They’re like the three witches from Macbeth, except way more stylish and not as creepy. According to People, Mary Kate and Ashley, who have won Womenswear Designer of the Year and Accessories Designer of the Year twice before, were nominated for the awards again this year for their label, The Row. Elizabeth gets to enjoy the perks of having sisters with their own fashion brand. “I just got a shipment,” she told People. “It’s really great; I feel very lucky. They’re amazing and so comfortable and really cool.” We are jealous!
Like her sisters, Elizabeth is elusive when it comes to social media, so we unfortunately won’t be seeing any cool behind-the-scenes photos from the three of them. “I don’t [use] social media, and I feel like that’s how people control their image. My image, in my mind, is just to disappear. I just want people to see the work that I’m proud of,” she said last year, according to E! Maybe Elizabeth will at least make a one-time appearance on someone else’s Instagram, like Mary Kate and Ashley did this past April.
