Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis Have Ended Their 9-Year Relationship
The pair are now focusing on co-parenting their two kids.
After a seven-year engagement and nine-year relationship, Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have gone their separate ways. According to a source close to the couple, the pair are now focused on co-parenting and the split has been amicable thus far.
The source told People that Wilde and Sudeikis parted ways at the start of 2020, and they’ve since transitioned into a co-parenting situation that seems to be working well for their children—Otis, 6, and Josephine, 4.
Sudeikis and Wilde began dating after first meeting at a Saturday Night Live afterparty. They didn’t click right away, as Wilde told Allure in 2013, and it took about six months of them bumping into each other until they finally pulled the plug and started going out. After making things officially official in November 2011, Sudeikis proposed a few months later at the start of 2012.
According to Entertainment Tonight, a source said that the split was not caused by any drama or scandal—and it’s certainly not a “juicy story.” The relationship simply wasn’t working, and the two wanted to make their children a priority and do what’s best for them. The source confirmed that Sudeikis and Wilde still “adore each other” and will continued to be each other’s biggest support supporters, “especially when it comes to parenting their children and their careers,” the source told ET.
Though their romantic relationship may be on pause (either temporarily or indefinitely), the friendship and respect between Wilde and Sudeikis is still as strong as ever. This has certainly been a challenging year for all couples and families as we’ve been forced into lockdown and spending heaps of time with each other. We’re glad that this celebrity split is a positive one not plagued with drama.
