Backlash from fans soon followed, many of whom found Wilde’s post to be “creepy” and “inappropriate.”

“She’s really living up to that last name if [sic] hers 😕,” Twitter user @Jmac_Essentials tweeted, in response to media coverage of the story.

Not soon after, the Don’t Worry Darling director removed the original Story, and replaced it with a new one. It features the same video as before, but a new text overlay, reading:

“For anyone who got it twisted 🙄…It’s hot to respect your partner. Especially when your partner just did thaaaaaat.”

Neither Rihanna nor A$AP Rocky has responded to Wilde’s posts, or the internet commentary.

Wilde has admitted that her recent breakup with Grammy award-winning singer Harry Styles has been tough, and that she has been “leaning on friends” to help her get through it.

She’s also been open about here struggles with co-parenting and custody battles with her ex-fiance, Jason Sudeikis, with whom she shares two young children.

“It’s tough,” Wilde said during an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “Reshaping a family is tricky.”

Rihanna and Rocky, meanwhile, are basking in baby-number-two bliss.

While the “Diamonds” singer didn’t come straight out and say she was pregnant during her performance, she did give a subtle hint by unzipping her red jumpsuit and caressing her baby bump at the beginning of the halftime show. Her rep later confirmed the news to media outlets.

The “Umbrella” singer welcomed her first child with Rocky back in May 2022.

Opting to do the Super Bowl wasn’t an immediate “yes,” Rihanna admitted. “Getting back to anything right now has to feel worth it. Nothing is worth your time away from your kid,” she said on an episode of the NFL’s The Process with Nate Burleson podcast.
