Among this year’s best of 2022 coverage is Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list. The business magazine put forth its annual comprehensive ranking of individuals who they believe to be the most influential and successful figures of 2022.
According to Forbes, honorees are organized by category and judged by their “funding, revenue, social impact, inventiveness and potential” with extra emphasis on the latter. Essentially, no one-hit wonders are allowed.
As expected, Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for 2022 is stacked with tons of A-list talent. The eyebrow-raising achievement was bestowed upon artists like Jack Harlow and Olivia Rodrigo; starlets such as JoJo Siwa and Miranda Cosgrove; entrepreneurs like Hailey Bieber; and media moguls like Call Her Daddy’s Alexandra Cooper.
North America’s list includes 600 honorees across 20 categories. Some of these include music, consumer technology, marketing and advertising, healthcare, venture capital, social media, finance, and food and drink.
Of the honorees, almost 25% are immigrants from 58 countries and nearly 48% identify as a person of color. Most individuals fell in the age bracket of 28 years old, with the youngest honoree being a 14-year-old venture capitalist. This year also includes the highest concentration (14%) of Gen Z honorees in Forbes history.
New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco were among the top cities with Under 30s honorees.
