Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta just had a Grease reunion of epic proportions
Name a more iconic duo than Sandy and Danny from Grease. We’ll wait. Actors Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, who played arguably the most iconic duo of all time back in 1978, just reunited (wearing their original Grease costumes and all), and they are the ones we want, ooh, ooh, ooh, honey.
Newton-John and Travolta reprised their roles as Sandy and Danny at the December 14th Meet N Grease sing-along at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida. Newton-John rocked Sandy’s OG yellow skirt-and-cardigan set, and Travolta donned his classic “greaser” jacket and coifed ’50s hairdo.
The pair hosted Meet N Grease and then sat down with the audience for a Q&A session all about the cult classic film. Travolta and some of the OG T-Birds from the flick even did the “Greased Lightnin’” song and dance with some lucky audience members, and Newton-John belted out a snippet from “Hopelessly Devoted To You.” We’re still waiting for you to name a more iconic duo, by the way. Bet you can’t.
And as Travolta said, “Grease is still the word,” and probably always will be.
We are more shook than Sandy and Danny dancing in that funhouse.
The pair reportedly appeared at two Meet N Grease events over the weekend in Florida. But if Newton-John and Travolta wanted to go on a nationwide tour, we’d become groupies of that show so fast. Just saying…
