These oh-so-cute pumpkin straws are perfect for your Halloween party

If months had designated foods, October would most definitely belong to the pumpkin. The orange guys are everywhere, from Halloween decorations to beloved seasonal lattes. I personally can’t get enough of them—although I’ve resisted buying actual pumpkins so far, I’ve definitely given into the urge to involve them in my craft projects!

So, fellow pumpkin fans, follow me for a super fun DIY: pumpkin straws! These adorable accessories are so easy to put together, and look perfect when added to a spooky seasonal beverage. Embrace your inner pumpkin enthusiast, and whip up a batch for your Halloween party!

Materials:

  • 6 straws
  • Orange construction paper
  • Green permanent marker
  • Double-sided tape
  • Ballpoint pen
  • Craft scissors

Craft away:

Draw an oval onto the paper, approximately 1 1/2 inches wide. Add a step to the top, and cut out the shape. Trace the shape 11 more times onto the paper, and cut out all of the shapes. You should now have 12 little paper pumpkins.

Use the permanent marker to color in the stems on the pumpkins. Make sure you end up with 6 pumpkins with stems pointing to the left, and 6 pumpkins with stems pointing to the right.

Apply double-sided tape to the back of each pumpkin. Tape the pumpkins in pairs to each straw, matching up the stems.

You’re finished! Stick the straws into pretty glasses to create the perfect finishing touch for your Halloween party.
