The official Prince tribute concert lineup is here and it’s all the way lit
Months after his untimely passing and multiple tributes later, the official Prince tribute concert lineup is here, and as expected, it’s friggin’ ah-mazing.
According to Uproxx, the star-studded roster for Prince: The Official Prince Tribute — A Celebration of Life & Music includes music legends Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Morris Day and the Time (who were all fittingly among the artists we wanted to see do a Prince tribute), Christina Aguilera, Tori Kelly, Anita Baker, Doug E. Fresh, Luke James, Bilal and Mint Condition among others. The event will take place on Oct. 13 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
The world hasn’t been the same since The Purple One left us way too early, but this awesome lineup has us way too excited. To date, Prince has been honored by a ton of celebrities, including Ellie Goulding, Janelle Monáe (whose BET Awards tribute was crazy good) and the cast and crew of New Girl, which famously featured the extraordinary performer on one of its episodes.
