The first teaser for “Ocean’s 8” is here and we will not keep calm

No doubt about it, Ocean’s 8 is already the most important film ever. Female-led cast, a heist, the Met Gala? It’s like Warner Bros. was *finally* starting to pull ideas from the dream journal we keep mailing them. On Monday, December 18th, they dropped the first teaser for Ocean’s 8 and TBH, we might never recover from it.

Take a deep breath, because the Ocean’s 8 teaser is better than you ever pictured.

The 15-second teaser is cut to a new version of “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’”, a 1966 song by Nancy Sinatra. It’s sultry and empowering, and is basically the perfect anthem to set the Ocean’s 8 scene. We see Rihanna, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock — they’re all there, and they look so good. Since it’s a teaser, we don’t see too much of the movie; it’s more like the studio is rolling out a yeah-we-did-that look at Ocean’s 8 before the full-length trailer drops.

You might try to find a favorite part of the first Ocean’s 8 teaser, but it’s all your favorite part.

The teaser is framed by Bullock and Blanchett eating. That’s funny enough on its own, but it might also be a nod to the Ocean’s 11 of yore: Ocean sidekick Rusty, played by Brad Pitt, was famously eating in every one of his scenes in the first Ocean’s 11 movie. Bullock being interrogated during a meal by someone glamorous *while* sporting a low ponytail is oddly reminiscent of Miss Congeniality, too. Seriously, is there anything this movie can’t do? It’s like fan fiction, but so much better.

This was just the first teaser for Ocean’s 8; the full-length trailer is supposed to drop tomorrow. We’ll just be here, screaming with excitement, until then!
