We’re obsessed with Dakota Fanning’s adorable polka dot one-piece swimsuit

It’s official: One-piece swimsuits are back, and they’re taking over this summer. Or have they ever really left? We can’t quite agree on a consensus, here. Right now, even our fave celebs are wearing them, including the queen of swimsuit selfies, Britney Spears.

This past weekend, Dakota Fanning and some pals got in on the trend, and Fanning posted this picture to Instagram with the caption “Bronzed on a boat”:

Her friends look fantastic in simple white and black suits, and Fanning is wearing a halter top one-piece swimsuit in a navy and white polka dot print, and it’s a lovely, timeless look. Swimsuits like that could be worn in any era and still look good — they’re effortlessly chic, and she looks fantastic in hers. It’s also a suit you could throw on some cut off jeans over and actually look perfectly put together — or you could stay on the boat all day and never worry about another thing again.
