President Obama was a guest on Jimmy Live last night, and it actually happened: The President of the United States read mean tweets. Obama, who we already know has a razor-sharp sense of humor and is pretty comfy with the late-night format, stepped up to the plate and did the thing you do when you’re really famous on Jimmy Kimmel: You confront your haters.
As Commander-in-Chief, Obama’s got his critics (even coming on the show, as Kimmel pointed out, can spark criticism) but POTUS proved he can handle the heat when he read a slew of snarky tweets from his Twitter detractors. Not only did he take the harsh comments like a champ, he had some seriously snappy comebacks too. Check it out:
